Fun, hot summer days

Summer fun is underway at the East Tennessee Discovery Center.

Children between the ages of 6 and 8 are taking part in the young scientist fun camp.

The 3-day camp offers a variety of exciting chemistry experiments including volcano eruptions.

“And even if they don't go away with a deep scientific explanation for everything, they've had fun doing it and they remember it and it might get them interested in doing it down the line,” says Christy Lewis, teacher, Knox County.

Additional camps for your young scientists are planned throughout the summer.
